It's with the heaviest of hearts I have created this page.

Having spoken with family I've copied this from Cheryl's page with her permission.

Please make this happen for that beautiful family

FIELD OF DREAMS
This post is about something that has been dear to my heart and have wanted to do for the Village and those who have lost a loved one now for about 8 months or more.

At the time, I spoke to my kids Adam and Nick about it.
I went in search of it, the daffodils were still there, but the rest was overgrown. I spoke to Katherine Mason-Gage, who wasn’t Councillor Katherine Mason-Gage Shiney Row Ward at the time about it, people need a place to reflect, to talk to their loved ones,
I spoke to Rachael Adam
Who had lost a loved one not long ago

I enquired to Councillor Anne Lawson at the time about it, Anne kindly looked into it for me at the time and said that price of land belonged to the Lord Lambtons estate.
I contacted the Barnwell Academy
to see what became of it, no one could remember it, -

FIELD OF DREAMS…
When my lads Adam and Nick were young and at the barnwell school, There was a patch of ground right next to the small home on Back Lane that I Managed at the time. It was called “A field of Dreams” they were taken by the teachers to plant, plants and trees. I remember there was always daffodils there..
My kids remember the place vividly, as do I , my lads are 35 & 33 years old now so it’s going back a while.

But all 3 of us couldn’t have just dreamt this up!

I spoke to people about it because this village is so close and tight knit, it’s like a huge family. When one hurts and is in pain others hurt and are in pain.

After the most life changing and heartbreaking 2 days of my entire life. And after so many tears. Our family, my kids and grandkids spoke again late last night and cried with each other individually.
My Son and my Granddaughter both told me when they were alone with me separately that they just wanted somewhere they could talk to their Wife and Mother Ashley Galloway
To talk about the everyday, - to share the most normal of life’s events, joys, disappointments, worries, struggles, to laugh with them, and make them feel they were still sharing their lives with the family they love most.

I feel now even more strongly than I did 8 months ago, we need to have somewhere in this village that we can talk to those we love and have lost,

That field of dreams was perfect, it looked out of fields and fresh air, you could sit , reflect, talk and dream … I have no idea what happened to it or why it was forgotten about,

I’m not saying get the field of dreams back, we probably can’t by all accounts.
But I’m now imploring Councillor David Snowdon Shiney Row Ward
Katherine, Anne, Mel or anyone else that will listen to find somewhere or something that can unite and engage us with our lost loved ones.

"Our village has so many broken hearts to help.
Claire Foster
and everyone else that’s contacted us, Thank you so, so much for your kind thoughts of a giving page of some description.
Adam Galloway, Tegan Galloway,Sarah Colley,David King,Philip Wilson, family, friends and myself just want somewhere we can still talk to her, be in contact with her.
So maybe a go fund‍♀️ collect in dedication and memory of this Beautiful young soul Ashley Galloway to honour her huge, caring heart.
But make it somewhere or something for everyone ?

Because I feel now even more strongly than I did months ago that we need something or somewhere in our village to reflect and talk to those we’ve loved and lost "
