UPDATE:

After weeks of waiting for an appointment, this week I have met with the council to chose the location of the bench down at the Tap. They confirmed it will be installed around the end of January, still a long wait but at least we now have a date, thanks again to everyone for donating xx

Following the very sad passing of my lovely husband Mike, quite a few people have asked about flower donations for the funeral or just donations in general. After long consideration the family and I have decided that we would love a lasting tribute to Mike and a place to remember him at his favourite place after a ‘ride out’, Eastham Ferry. So have made the decision to have a memorial bench installed where everyone can go and visit, even have a drink with him!

If anyone would like to donate to this lasting memory of Mike then that would be hugely appreciated by myself, our girls and the rest of the family.

We are eternally grateful for everyone’s kind words, thoughts, visits and messages at this heartbreaking time, it really means a lot to us.

It has been lovely to hear each person echo the same statement, what a lovely happy caring man he was, with a huge smile, infectious laugh, and always time for everyone.

We will never get over loosing him so soon, but think that this memorial bench will bring us all a tiny bit of comfort.
