We are raising money towards a memorial bench for our dad, George McMillan who passed away on the 9th of December 2025. Our dad who studied Biological Sciences and worked at Edinburgh University for most of his life loved nature, animals, different sports, walking and being outdoors. He always enjoyed having ‘a good old chin-wag’ with anyone he met whilst out and about, wherever he was and he always had a story to tell. We would like this bench to encourage walkers and passers by to take a moment to enjoy their surroundings, appreciate the nature around them, and for it to be a place for our dad’s family, friends and anyone who knew our dad to visit for some comfort and share stories together ❤️

Any donations in excess of the required amount will be donated to Maggie’s Cancer Support Centre in Edinburgh, which provides help to individuals living with cancer and supports their families ❤️
