A Memoir Of Surviving Genocide

For those that do not know me, my name is Kenya Prach. I was born in Cambodia in 1960, 15 years before the reign of the Khmer Rouge. Much like the lone tree standing atop Angkor Watt’s walls, I was one of the lucky people to have survived the Cambodian genocide. Many others, including my brother and sister were not so lucky and were executed by the Khmer Rouge.

As a survivor, I am compelled to tell my story so that the tragedies of war does not repeat itself. I hope to be a voice for those who are no longer here to tell their stories. My memoir reveals the many scars that I’ve endured from witnessing the killings that took place, as well as my fight for survival and ultimately my pursuit of refuge and immigration.

I am currently raising money to hire a writer for my memoir as English is not my native language. I humbly ask for your generosity to help me tell these untold stories. Please help me document this history for the generations to come. Thank you!
