We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!  We want to start by emphasizing how much your support has meant to all of us on Layla’s journey so far.  Not only were the funds from your initial donation integral to getting Layla in remission, but your love, generosity, and heartfelt messages lifted all our spirits.  As many of you know, Layla was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer when she was 26 (over 5 years ago).  Almost 3 years ago, stage III became stage IV when the cancer metastasized to the bones and later the liver.  We did not expect to be in this position so soon, but unfortunately Layla’s cancer has returned and is yet again in her liver as well as her bones.  After bravely enduring a series of treatments in Mexico followed by 9 weeks of immunotherapy in Vienna, the most recent tumor markers and scan show a 30% regression.  Layla is now in Mexico City for intra-tumoral injections and will be back in Vienna for another six weeks in January.  We have complete confidence in Layla’s international medical team as well as her incredible support network.  We need to keep fighting in order to push this progress further and ongoing treatment is key.  Please help us raise additional funds for the continuing out-of-pocket immunotherapy costs.  Thank you all.
