A Medical Biography of Grace B. Jackson
Donation protected

My name is Meldosia Cox and I’m writing this with a heavy heart for someone I love dearly—Grace B. Jackson. Grace is a proud Liberian, born and raised, and she’s been my closest friend since we were just 8 or 9 years old. We were like sisters, inseparable, until I moved to Canada at the age of 12. Life took us in different directions, but our bond never broke.
Grace stayed in Liberia, completed her schooling, and followed her dream of becoming a doctor. After high school, she traveled to India to study medicine. She worked tirelessly for 4 years, 6 months, determined to return home as a Bachelor in Pharmaceuticals. But just before she could begin that new chapter, tragedy struck.
Incident Statement by boyfriend
“My name is Lincoln Saye Gbor. On Monday, the 5th of May, at approximately 9:30 PM, my girlfriend, Grace Blessing Jackson, and I were riding a motorcycle with the registration number CG04KV 2054, traveling from Naya Raipur towards Narayana Hospital to purchase kiwi fruit. Unfortunately, during our journey, an unidentified vehicle struck our motorcycle from behind, causing me to lose control.
As I struggled to regain balance, we veered dangerously close to a truck on our right side. In the chaos, Grace fell to the right side of the motorcycle—directly into the path of the truck. Tragically, her left hand became trapped under one of the truck’s tires, resulting in severe injuries that led to the amputation of her hand”
Nearly two weeks passed before I received a message from Grace. I was shocked, heartbroken, and immediately tried to intervene. As a healthcare professional myself, I reached out to the nurses, trying to understand what went wrong and how I could help.
But the challenges didn’t stop there. The hospital tried to stop her treatment—because she couldn’t pay her medical bills. For days, she suffered in silence, alone, unable to reach her family or friends. Her parents in Liberia are doing everything they can, but the financial burden is overwhelming.
Grace completed her Pharmaceuticals Degree. She should be celebrating the start of a new life, a new career. Instead, she’s in a hospital bed, in pain, trying to survive. She cannot use her license to practice because of her injuries.
Today, I speak not only as her best friend but as her sister by heart—asking you, with everything in me, to help Grace. We are trying to raise $10,000 to cover her medical care, rehabilitation, and basic needs. Every dollar will go directly to her recovery and future.
Grace gave everything to become a healer. Now, it’s our turn to help heal her. Please join me in giving her a second chance at life.
Thank you from the depths of my heart
