A Medical Alert Service Dog for Karin

I have been diagnosed with interstitial lung disease for three years. (I was diagnosed when I was 15 and I am now 17, soon to be 18). The definition of this disease is the intense scarring of the lungs. My doctors have also explained that interstitial lung disease is an umbrella term for many other lung diseases or problems, until they figure out the exact diagnosis. Throughout the years, my doctors have been unable to diagnose me any further and are still unable to treat my condition. Since my condition has worsened over the years, I am now on oxygen full time and now struggle with doing everyday small tasks. I also have chronic fatigue, chronic pain, and brain fog. Learning, for school, is now a struggle because my memory and focus has decreased because of my disease.  And since the doctors are still unsure of what is going on, my family and I decided that getting a medical alert service dog would help me function better in everyday life. The service dog would alert me whenever my oxygen drops and when my dizzy spells or episodes occur. The dog will also help with my anxiety and depression. It will also help with many other tasks throughout the day. This medical alert service dog will change and better my life. I will use the money to help pay for the dog, the training, and all the extra accessories that I need to buy for the dog! Any money I have left over will be donated to someone else that is in need of a service dog!!
