Our dear David Bishop left us on January 8, 2026. David was an amazing father, grandfather, and friend who touched so many lives of people around him. Surviving is his loving wife, Tina Bishop; his children, Derek, Kristy, David Jr., and Dylan Bishop; his siblings, Betsy Vanbramer, Barbara Vanbramer, Sharon Brown, and James Brown and wife Kim; and his grandchildren, Haylee Way and Weston Bishop, as well as extended family members.

David spent his life working hard and helping others. He was the type to drop whatever he was doing to make sure his friends were okay and rarely asked for anything in return. He was the life of the party and always knew how to crack a good joke, especially while cracking an ice-cold Budweiser. His kindness, humor, and strength had a lasting impact, and we will miss them every day.

We are all heartbroken over David’s passing and were unprepared for the expense of a funeral service. We want to give him the memorial he deserves—a meaningful goodbye surrounded by the people he loved. The funeral expenses are high.

Calling hours will be held at Traub Funeral Home in Bridgeport, NY on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM, with words of remembrance to conclude.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bridgeport VFW on Saturday, January 17, 2026 beginning at 2pm.
