We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved father, Sampson Blevines Sr.

Our dad will truly be missed. He was a homebody except when he went to support his grandkids' sporting events, often seen arguing with the refs about a bad call.

Since the beginning of October, our dad faced an incredibly difficult health journey. It began with a stroke that left him with cognitive challenges and vision impairment. On December 18th, he went to the emergency room due to severe rheumatoid arthritis pain—a condition he had been battling for the past two years—and he was never able to return home.

During that time, he underwent nine major surgeries as doctors fought to save his life. These included multiple procedures on his leg, which ultimately resulted in an above-the-knee amputation, liver embolizations, stents and balloon procedures, and three separate intestinal surgeries. His final surgery was the most devastating, as doctors discovered there was no longer any viable small intestine to repair. This ultimately led to his passing.

Through it all, he showed strength, resilience, and courage that inspired everyone around him.

He was a great father and grandfather, and he will be missed by many.

Although our father worked hard his entire life to provide for his family, his employer based life insurance plan is no longer active due to his extended hospital stay and loss of employment as a result.

We are now asking for help to give our father the homegoing he deserves. Our goal is to honor his life with a meaningful service and proper burial that reflects the love and respect he gave so freely to others.
