Our family is heartbroken to share that Harold Lawrence “Larry” Cannon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, Marine, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, during a beautiful San Diego sunset. He was surrounded by his wife and children and had just been baptized by his son in the hospital garden, a moment of peace and grace that we will carry with us forever.

Losing him has left a space in our family that words can barely touch, but we are comforted knowing that when he earned his angel wings, he was lovingly greeted by his mother — a reunion he had been waiting for for 53 years.

Larry lived every day with humor, generosity, and a kind of warmth that made everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger. If you crossed his path, you were family.

The VA has graciously covered his burial, but our family is responsible for the cremation and the Celebration of Life. We want to give him a farewell filled with love, music, stories, and the kind of laughter he brought into every room. A gathering that reflects who he was — a man who showed up for everyone, no matter what.
