In Memory of Sherman Walter McMullen, a Marine Corps Hero.

I’m trying to raise funds for my dad’s cremation. He passed, alone, from complications of lung cancer on July 25th at his home in Florida. He didn’t make it home to Tennessee before he passed. He was in the Marine Corps and also went through Navy recruit training to become a Navy Hospital Corpsman. He did not have life insurance and the VA only pays for reimbursement. The funeral home is offering a discount considering the circumstances. The burial would cost thousands but the cremation will only be around $2,000 and the cost of shipping the cremated remains around $200. The only other option I have is to let the funeral home call the state to take his remains, which is what they will do if they don’t receive payment within 30 days. He deserves so much more than what I can do for him. He has saved many lives during his time in service. He was a God fearing man who praised him through every hardship and never lost faith. Please help me give him a proper final disposition.
