A Man of God and his Fearless Fight

Hey everyone! Many of you know that my older brother Lee who is only 36 years old is in the hospital for a stroke due to a brain hemorrhage that occurred on 19 AUG 2020. He was found unconscious on the bathroom floor and transported to Howard County General Hospital, and then flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital that same night. The stroke has caused a loss of function in his right arm and right leg that will require him to undergo some long term rehabilitation. In addition to the brain hemorrhage, it was discovered that he also has a brain aneurysm in a different location that will require medical surveillance.  Therefore, the money that is fundraised will go to Isaac (Lee Isaac Cho) during his rehabilitation to cover medical treatment, physical therapy and speech therapy since he will not be able to work during this long recovery process. Prior to the stroke, he was the primary caretaker for our mother as she is battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer - he would take her to all her doctor's appointments, chemotherapy sessions and assist with anything she needed. I don't want my brother and my parents feeling any extra financial burden during this time as my mother is battling cancer and my brother is recovering. I have never made a Go Fund Me page before for anyone but felt compelled to do so now.

Many of you already know my brother but those that don't, I am going to tell you who he is and why he is so special.

MISSIONARY: Lee became a Missionary in 2017 and has traveled to South Korea (DMZ), Mongolia, Turkey, Japan and Romania. My brother is not the typical missionary, he builds relationships with people first. For example, during the Refugee Crisis in Istanbul, he would spend his own money and break bread with the refugees who were residing in Turkey at the time - even though my brother and the refugees spoke different languages, they understood that my brother's actions were out of love and sincerity. Last year, my brother became a trainer for other missionaries and he taught that being a leader is not to just lead but to also be in servitude, be humble, and be accountable for your own actions.

UNSUNG HERO for the HOMELESS: When he is not traveling for missions, every 1st Saturday of the month he would volunteer at Helping Up Missions in Baltimore for recovering addicts to preach the gospel, play drums for the Praise Team, and pray for those recovering from addictions. In addition, every last Saturday of the month, he would serve at the Good Samaritan Homeless Outreach in Baltimore. He would serve food, pray for people and establish relationships with men and women who attended the outreach.

PASTOR: Lee was ordained as a Pastor in 2016. If you never been to one of his sermons, you have to listen one day. He has this great way of story telling in a sermon that draws you in and makes you laugh at the same time. He has this wonderful gift of bridging people to Christ by providing wisdom and knowledge to many new Christians, and he has this ability to be so relatable to many different people.

SPIRITUAL COUNSELOR: Not all pastors are great counselors but I can say wholeheartedly that my brother has some of the best attributes that make him a great spiritual counselor. If you met him, you know that he is a great listener, he is very patient (for the most part), and has the ability to communicate on different levels for people to understand his counsel. He counsels a variety of people that include the youth, young adults, friends, and anyone who needs help.

BROTHER: Not all siblings are friends but everyone knows Lee is not only the best brother but also my best friend. He has never been judgmental towards me, always held me accountable, gave me sound advice, always knew how to cheer me up, and always took care of me as a big brother. If there is one person in the world who truly understands me (besides my wife), it is my brother. Even when my brother and I are apart when he is traveling, it's nothing but laughs when we get back together. He is the truly one of a kind!

Please don't feel obligated to give and ANY amount you give is greatly appreciated. The contribution you make will not only have an impact on my brother's life but on all of our lives. Please understand that your contribution will directly impact my brother's recovery and all the funds will go to him directly. We truly appreciate all your prayers, positive vibes, messages, cards and other acts of kindness. THANK YOU!
