A MACHINE THAT COULD SAVE A BABIES LIFE ❤️

Hi My Name is Laura Priestner I'm mother to our beautiful little Miles Mason. Miles is now 4 weeks old & has been in PICU in the RVI now for 3 Weeks. Miles has been through so much in his short little life & one thing that has been affected is his Kidneys. Miles was placed on a dialysis machine which is not really that safe for babies to be put on as risk of cardiac arrest each time he has done this four times without any complications. He then went in for an operation to fit a Peritoneal dialysis catheter into his tummy, this operation went well although where it has been fitted was starting to leak as hadn't had enough time to heal & our baby boy was filling up with fluid. We were told the heartbreaking news that there was nothing more that can be done for our baby boy. Myself & Miles father David Mason were adamant that we were not giving up on our baby boy. He had fought so hard & we were not prepared to stop fighting for him. We begged please don't give up on our baby its not his time. We asked for a chance & we're told about a Machine (THE NIDUS) that isn't used very often & was stored away in a cupboard!!! This machine was made by a former now retired Doctor Malcolm Coulthard. This guy is amazing & so passionate about what he's made & saving babies lives. He has went above & beyond & visited the hospital at all hours off his own back to make sure the machine is running smoothly & that Miles is doing well. Well all I can say is up to now this amazing machine has potentially saved our precious boys life . It all comes down to money with this machine as there's no money making when it comes to baby dialysis as they not used everyday. My point is but its proven to save babies lives & surely that is more important than money. We have 26 days worth of medical equipment needed for this machine to run & continue doing its job of saving lives. Please please please if you could spare even if its just £1 that £1 is making it one step closer to getting more equipment & funding these amazing life changing machines. Imagine how great you would feel if you participated in making this happen & getting more of these machines made & used regularly for all these premature tiny babies/children that need this & saving there lives. Our baby boy is still on this machine & continues to save our baby boy
