It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Vera Alicia Ruiz, a beloved mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law, who left us on August 5, 2025, at the age of 68.

Vera had a heart that never stopped giving. She was selfless in a way that made everyone around her feel deeply loved. Her smile could light up an entire room, and her presence brought warmth and comfort wherever she went. Vera’s cooking was truly out of this world — everyone who tasted her food adored it and would rave about it for days. Sharing her meals was just another way she showed her love.

We are raising $10,000 to help cover funeral expenses and give Vera the dignified farewell she deserves. This loss has been sudden, and any support—no matter the amount—will make a meaningful difference.
