With a heavy and broken heart, I am writing this to share the sudden passing of my older sister, Christina Lopez.
I was just notified of her passing, and the pain is overwhelming. Like many of you who knew her, you knew that Christina struggled. She was trying to find her way and was working toward getting better.
Christina was beautiful, she was troubled, and she was human. She made mistakes—just as we all do—but she was so much more than her struggles. She was a mother, a sister, a tia, a cousin, a grandmother, and a loved one. She mattered deeply, and she was loved more than she may have ever known.
This loss was sudden, and our family was not prepared for a death. During this incredibly painful time, we are asking for help so we can give Christina a service that honors her life and who she was as a person. She deserves to be remembered with dignity, love, and respect.
Christina, I am sorry that I didn’t reach out, I’m sorry that you struggled alone. I’m sorry that life could not be easier. I know you are at peace now. I love you.
If you are able to help in any way, whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean more to us than words can express. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, love, and support during this difficult time.
