On January 14, 2026, our family lost our grandpa, Charlie Allen Hampton, suddenly to a heart attack. His passing was unexpected, and the pain of losing him has been overwhelming. There are no words that truly capture how much he meant to us or how deeply he will be missed.

My grandpa was incredibly smart and had a way of giving advice that always seemed to come at exactly the right time. No matter what we were going through, he listened without judgment and helped us see things more clearly. He was also so funny, always able to make us laugh, even during hard moments, and those laughs are memories we will forever hold close.

More than anything, he was always there for us. No matter the time, no matter the situation, he would always pick up the phone. Just hearing his voice brought comfort, reassurance, and a sense of safety. Knowing we could call him whenever we needed meant everything, and losing that has left a silence that feels impossible to fill.

As we try to navigate this heartbreaking loss, we are also facing the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. We want to honor him and the life he lived with the love, dignity, and respect he deserves.
