Renee Rasmuson was a loving grandmother, caregiver, and creative spirit who brought joy to everyone around her. She spent countless weekends with her grandson Brayden, searching for sea rocks along the shores of Lake Michigan—a place that held special meaning for her and her family. Renee’s first home was just blocks from St. George, and she cherished listening to the waves from her backyard, sharing these moments with her grandkids and friends. Her passion for collecting shells, making wind chimes, and decorating homes reflected her vibrant personality and her ability to find beauty in everyday life.
Renee’s sudden passing has left her family facing unexpected challenges. As her only son, I am now responsible for handling her affairs, including legal matters and the upkeep of her two homes. Without a life insurance policy and while unemployed, I am struggling to cover the costs of a headstone and burial plot at St. George, near the lake she loved so much. Renee was in the process of planning for the future, but time ran out too soon, and every day without her is a reminder of how much she is missed.
Having a resting place for Renee at St. George, facing Lake Michigan, would mean everything to our family. It would give her grandkids, friends, and loved ones a personal place to visit, remember her kindness, and feel close to her spirit. This support will help us honor Renee’s memory in a way that reflects the love and happiness she brought into our lives, and provide a space for healing and connection for all who knew her.
