I adopted Zoro in October of 2022 after discovering his story at my local shelter. As a stray, he sustained a significant burn to his stomach resulting in surgery to remove the burnt tissue and much of the skin on his stomach.
Despite his rough start, Zoro has been the bravest, friendliest, most curious, and loving creature I have ever met. He is a truly special animal, to be so small but so impactful. He has brought many people joy and unconditional love during his short time with me.
This past week he was diagnosed with a large tumor in his abdomen with a dim prognosis. Due to his condition, his veterinarian team and I have decided to prioritize quality of life and have opted for euthanasia in the coming days. Words cannot describe how this has uprooted my life and tore up my heart.
This fundraiser is for his medication, end-of-life care, and cremation. Thank you for reading. I love you Zoro.
