Title: Help Us Lay My Mother to Rest
Story:
My name is bettye, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart. My beloved mother, cheryl Clark, passed away sunday morning august 17th at 77 years old after a long battle with sundowners dementia. She had been on hospice care for the past two years, and throughout that time she was surrounded by love and care from so many people who truly cherished her.
My mom was deaf, and she had a unique spirit that made her unforgettable. She had a short temper at times, but an even larger amount of love in her heart. She was never afraid to speak her mind and tell you exactly how she felt—if she didn’t like you, she would let you know, but if she loved you, you knew it with certainty.
For so many years, whenever people crossed paths with me, the very first thing they would ask was, “How’s your mom doing?” Only after that would they ask about me. That’s just how loved and cared for she was by everyone who knew her.
Sadly, she did not have life insurance or savings to help cover the cost of funeral and burial expenses. Our family does not have the means to give her the farewell she deserves on our own, and this has left us struggling in the midst of our grief.
We are asking for help to cover her final expenses and to honor her memory in a way that reflects how deeply she was loved. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and help ease the financial burden during this already difficult time.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any support you can offer—whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign.
