My father left this world with nothing to his name— no car, no house, no will, no money. But what he did leave behind was an overwhelming amount of love.

 

Six years ago, he lost his soulmate—our mother. Five months ago, he lost his mother—our grandmother. Through it all, we worked hard to keep each other going, and he was the flame that kept us together.

 

We lost the most giving and selfless member of our family—the man who made sure everyone had what they needed while insisting he needed nothing. The man who spent his days with his grandchildren, teaching them as much as he could. The man who could fix anything and never asked for a dime. The man who worried endlessly about his children, calling all their friends if he didn’t hear back, just to make sure they were safe. The man who made an effort to stay in contact with all the people in his life and let them know that he’s there for them.. a true hero.

 

Now, in his passing, we want to honor him in the way he deserves. Any contribution toward his funeral costs would mean the world to us as we navigate this painful time. More than anything, we appreciate your love and support.
