If you knew Yevette, you knew love. She made every person she encountered feel seen, heard and truly special. She was a rare light that you’ll only ever meet once in this lifetime. She was the life of EVERY party, being the first one on the dance floor and last one off. Even at the age of 80 she would still show off her signature belly dancing moves! She was unapologetically herself through and through. She beat to her own drum without a care in the world of what anyone thought of her. Yevette was the core and glue of our family that held generations together.
It is with a heavy heart we share the unexpected loss of her beautiful life. What started as a day spent with her grandson attending her great grandchildren’s baseball games, ended in a tragic car accident that ultimately took her life.
Yevette was a woman whose heart had no boundaries. Whether you were family, a close friend or a friend of a friend, you knew no difference. As our family navigates this horrible loss we kindly ask if you’re able to share that same love and help us give her the proper burial and wishes she so truly deserves, being reunited and laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
Please keep our family in your prayers as I know how this heartbreaking loss has individually impacted so many of us.
