Hello everyone,

I’m writing on behalf of my sister, Maria, and our family. Unfortunately, our family was hit with the most unexpected and heartbreaking loss today. Our sweet Ivan went home to be with the Lord.

Ivan was diagnosed with leukemia in December 2024 and bravely fought for a full year. He went through treatment and chemotherapy with so much strength, positivity, and courage. He was always smiling, cracking jokes, and keeping everyone else’s spirits up. We were so proud of him and in awe of how strong he was.

On January 9th, Ivan received his last round of chemo and was preparing to start his remission medication. We were filled with hope and excitement, believing the hardest part was finally behind us. Unfortunately, God had other plans. After his last treatment, Ivan became very sick and was admitted to the hospital. What started as fevers quickly became more serious, and he went into septic shock. Our sweet boy fought as hard as he could, but his little body became too tired.

If you ever met Ivan, you knew how special he was kind, loving, caring, and always thinking of others before himself. He was the life of the party, always making us laugh. He was my sweet teddy bear, and our hearts are completely broken. Our family is devastated and hurting deeply.

My sister stopped working for an entire year to care for Ivan taking him to appointments, treatments, and being by his side through everything. We were not prepared for this tragedy. No one is ever ready for something like this.

I am coming here to ask for support to help my sister lay our sweet Ivan to rest. Any help at all means more than words can express even prayers for my sister, my nephews, my niece, and our entire family are deeply appreciated.
