Hi. My beautiful mother Sandra Mae White passed away last week from breast cancer. She was a very lovely lady. Quick wit. Underrated. Full of love. If you were lucky enough to call her your friend then she loved you. Mom left MN back in 1970 to marry my dad and we moved to Fort Dodge, IA to start our new lives. It was a great childhood. Mom stayed home with us and dad worked at Land O Lakes in purchasing. Unfortunately soon after my sister and I started middle school in early 80s dad got sick. Wasn’t able to keep his full time job. Land O Lakes treated my dad fairly. They allowed my dad to work in the mail room for a while. Money was tight from medical expenses. Dad passed away after 14 years on dialysis and battled Crohn’s Disease before anyone knew what it was. Mom worked at a few places full time for a brief time to make ends meet before retiring. She was a simple lady. But fierce n brave until the end. She did a wonderful job raising me n my sister. Keeping my dad in line wasn’t easy either. I’m proud to call her my mom. Mom didn’t have life insurance, and the family is getting funds together to give Mom a proper celebration of life. We hope this Go Fund Me can offset some of these expenses.
