Support and Assist Our Family During The Loss of Our Loving Father and Husband Ronald Cooley

Hello, I am Veronica Cooley, daughter of the recently passed Ronald Cooley. I am creating this GoFundMe in order to assist in covering the cost associated with the passing of a loved one - services, cremation, urns, and assisting the family with the cost and expenses during this transition.

Ronald Cooley was a wonderful and loving father, husband, and friend. He was dedicated to helping his community throughout his life. Ron worked as a Lieutenant over the Narcotics and Major Crime unit in Jackson County, Mississippi. Once he retired, he was a dedicated full-time father and husband, but he still was involved when health permitted. When we relocated to East Tennessee in 2012, it was a dream come true for him as he always loved the beauty and serenity of life in the mountains. He quickly became involved with the EMPOA and road committee among other things. However, he found his calling and second family ultimately with the English Mountain Volunteer Firefighters.

There is so much more I could say about him and the life and love he shared with all of us - he was and is so endlessly important to us. Having lost him is one of the hardest transitions we have ever gone through and we grieve him deeply. However, it was also very unexpected - we did not know he was struggling with a silent battle for nearly two years against cancer. By the time we learned, it was a hard battle that sadly ended in his passing.

That is why we are starting this fundraiser - in hopes that we could get the funding necessary to provide him with a proper send off and help our family during these trying times. This includes helping cover the cost of travel and lodging for family to come to his service and expenses incurred during his illness.
