On July 5, 2026, a driver ran a red light in upstate New York, and in one heartbreaking moment, we lost my cousin, Prasanna Atluri. Our family is still struggling to understand this sudden, devastating loss.
Prasanna was from Mulapadu, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. She had recently graduated from Pace University, NY and was attending job interviews as she worked toward building a bright future. She was intelligent, hardworking, and selfless.
Prasanna was the pillar of her family and the person everyone relied on for guidance, emotional support, and financial stability. Even while managing her own student loans, she never hesitated to help others. She lifted people quietly and consistently, with a heart full of love.
Her family is now facing expenses no one prepares for: funeral and memorial services, bringing her home to India, travel for loved ones, and her remaining student loan. I created this fundraiser so they can grieve without the weight of financial strain.
If you are able, please help us honor Prasanna with the dignity and love she deserves. Every donation, every share, and every prayer truly matters.
Note: Funeral viewing will be held on Wednesday at 75 Woodbridge Avenue, Highland Park, NJ, 08804
With deep gratitude,
Ravi Kumar Atluri, on behalf of our family
