On New Year's Day, our loving grandma or Tita as many of us called her, Juana Patiño Zendejas, became our grandpa's birthday gift in heaven. As much as it hurts us to part ways with her, we know she's in a better place and no longer in pain.

Unfortunately, we were struck with sudden news this past Christmas Eve that she had stomach cancer and that it was too advanced to do anything for her, leaving her to only be with us for a short amount of time. We were told a couple of days, but she stayed with us for a week just in time to start the new year. But with a heavy heart that was also her last.

She leaves behind 6 children, 19 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, who all loved her dearly and are now trying to come to terms with her no longer being with us.

With it being a sudden loss, our whole family is struggling to gather enough funds to properly lay her to rest with the service she deserves. It has become a greater challenge financially for many of us and we’d greatly appreciate any help no matter the amount. If you are not able to donate just sharing would help us out as well.

El día de Año Nuevo, nuestra querida abuela, Juana Patiño Zendejas, se convirtió en el regalo de cumpleaños de mi abuelo en el cielo. Por mucho que nos duela despedirnos de ella, sabemos que está en un lugar mejor y ya no sufre.

Desafortunadamente, nos sorprendieron con la repentina noticia en Nochebuena de que tenía cáncer de estómago y que estaba demasiado avanzado para hacer algo por ella, dejándola con nosotros solo por un corto período de tiempo. Nos dijeron que le quedaban un par de días, pero se quedó con nosotros una semana justo a tiempo para empezar el nuevo año. Pero con el corazón pesado, esa también fue su última.

Deja atrás 6 hijos, 19 nietos y 7 bisnietos, quienes la amaban profundamente y ahora están tratando de aceptar que ya no está con nosotros.

Dado que fue una pérdida repentina, toda nuestra familia está luchando por reunir suficientes fondos para darle el descanso que merece con el servicio adecuado. Se ha convertido en un desafío financiero mayor para muchos de nosotros y agradeceríamos mucho cualquier ayuda, sin importar la cantidad. Si no puedes donar, compartir también nos ayudaría.
