With a very heavy heart, I am announcing the passing of my beautiful aunt Marta Irene Platero.

She had a smile that would brighten a room. Some of you may know her for her amazing cooking skills. She infatuated everybody with her delicious pupusas and all the other Salvadoran cuisine. Or you may have met her due to her amazing sewing skills. But her most important skill and proudest life accomplishment was being a mother. She was an amazing mother to her four sons, Marvin Arevalo, Roberto Rivera, David Platero and Marcos Platero. She was a wife, a sister, friend and an amazing Tia.

As this tragedy was unexpected, our family wants to give her the funeral that she deserves.

Con el corazón muy pesado, anuncio el fallecimiento de mi hermosa tía Marta Irene Platero.

Tenía una sonrisa que alegraba una habitación. Algunos de ustedes pueden conocerla por sus increíbles habilidades culinarias. Ella enfaturó a todos con sus deliciosas pupusas y toda platos tipos salvadoreños. O puede que la hayas conocido debido a sus increíbles habilidades de costura. Pero su habilidad más importante y su logro más orgulloso en la vida fue ser madre. Fue una madre increíble para sus cuatro hijos, Marvin Arevalo, Roberto Rivera, David Platero y Marcos Platero. Era una esposa, una hermana, una amiga y una tía increíble.

Como esta tragedia fue inesperada, nuestra familia quiere darle el funeral que se merece.
