Arleen May Bowie & George Curtis Bowie || - most of you knew them as Kissie and George but to me they were my Memaw ❤️ and Pepaw
Kissie and George were loving parents, decorated spouses wife, grandparents, and great grandparents who dedicated their life to caring for others. For over a year, Kissie bravely battled adrenal cancer, enduring chemo treatments that, sadly, did not work. As her health declined, she continued to put her family first taking care of the girls and George , just as she always had. Ten years ago, after the loss of my uncle, Kissie and George took on the responsibility of raising three grandchildren, showing their endless love and strength.
George, her devoted husband, was in a permanent rehabilitation center during his amd kissies final days and passed away just 19 days after Kissie.
Now, as we face the heartbreaking loss of both Kissie and George, our family is struggling to cope with both emotional and financial challenges. With so much on our plate this holiday season, we are overwhelmed by the costs of laying Kissie and George to rest, especially since they did not have life insurance.
We are reaching out to our small community for help. Any support you can offer will go directly toward funeral and burial expenses, allowing us to honor Kissie and George’s memory and give her the farewell they deserve. Thank you for your kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
Any and all Proceeds will be used towards the funeral cost for both Kissie and George’s unpaid debt over the past few months that have gone unpaid.
Services at this time are set for January 2026
If You would like to make a donation directly to the funeral home we will be going through Raymond’s in Laplata Maryland. Please let them know the donation is for Arleen & George Bowie.
We have attached the funeral pricing sheet for reference of the asking amount. If you feel more comfortable donating through cashapp I have listed my mom and Jen’s below.
