Hi ! My name is Desiree A. Sánchez, my father was Juan “Jhonny” Alberto Sánchez Terán. My dad passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2025. He had diabetes for many years but the last year of his life he was struggling a lot with severe pain due to years with this disease.

For the past two years, I’ve been my dad’s care giver while being a college student & working. My mom’s passing really affected my dad health in ways words can’t describe.

The early evening of Saturday, December 20th, I left home around 1-1:15pm to run errands & didn’t return till 5:45-6:15pm. I started bringing groceries from the car while calling his name but received no response. Once I reached a point of the staircase that I could see him, I immediately knew. I checked for a pulse & pulled my stethoscope to find a heartbeat but unfortunately I wasn’t able to find it. Once EMS arrived to the scene, they immediately started working on him. About 15-20 minutes had passed & once they pulled the AED machine…I knew they had to call it. My dad signed a couple of DNRs because he knew he didn’t want extreme measures to be taken. My dad was pronounced decease at 6:43pm. We suspect he passed away in his sleep that evening.

I want to give my dad, Alberto, the celebration of life he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of my dad’s funeral. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support given. May God bless you!
