On Thursday, December 11, 2025, our family lost our beloved grandpa. He was the kind of man who spent his life giving to others — always showing up, always helping, and always putting family first. He was strong, humble, and proud, and he believed deeply in handling things with dignity.

Because of that, asking for help does not come easily to our family. In fact, they would never ask. I am creating this fundraiser quietly, out of love and respect, to help cover the unexpected funeral expenses and ease the financial burden during this painful time. But now, as we try to honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves, we find ourselves needing support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us cover his funeral expenses and ease the burden during this difficult time.

Luis Enrique Cabezas was the heart and soul of our family. He came from Quito, Ecuador, as part of our family’s journey to build a better life here. My grandpa built a life through hard work, laughter, and endless love. He was known for his big heart and his goofy sense of humor — truly the clown of our family — always ready with a joke to make us smile. But beyond the laughter, everyone who met him could see how deeply he cared for his family and how hard he worked to provide for us all.

Even after retiring, my grandpa never stopped working. He would go out collecting cardboard, always finding ways to support us, until a car accident changed everything for him and for us — physically, financially, and emotionally. Still, he never gave up. That was the kind of person he was: resilient, dedicated, and full of love. Through all his hardships, he gave all the glory to God and continued to worship Him faithfully.

Funeral costs add up quickly, and our family needs to raise $10,250 by December 21 to cover services, burial, and related arrangements. Every dollar raised will go directly toward honoring my grandpa with the service he deserves.
