Hello everyone,

My grandmother, Denise Dixon or “Gma”, fought a long battle with Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) and also a rare mitochondrial mutation. Both of which caused slow muscle atrophy and cognitive/neurological decline.

Over the last 6 months she had numerous hospital stays, a stint in a rehab facility, and was eventually placed on hospice after her condition did not improve. She passed March 6th at 11:23 with me and my fiance by her side.

With the recent passing of my mom on February 16th, things have been hard, but we are still trying to find beauty and peace amongst all the tragedy.

Gma was a magnificent person and a friend to many. She was a fashionista who loved adventures and cheesy shark movies. She was always one of the first people I would confide in with a secret. She experienced more heartache than one person should in a lifetime, losing both daughters and a sister, but still had so much love in her heart.

Id love to honor her wishes of a traditional funeral and burial, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading, sharing, or just for your time. God bless
