A Loving Farewell for Chris Garsh

Hi everyone, my name is Caitlyn, I'm Chris Garsh's daughter.

My father passed away on 1/10/2026. He was found behind a 7/11 alone. He was going through so much. He was in a lot of pain from his kidneys, going to dialysis, and being homeless on the cold streets of Dallas.

I'm trying to raise enough money to help cover my flight to Texas and the cremation and funeral home expenses and get him some memorial cards. He deserves everything, and I'm just asking for a little help.

1/10/2026, heaven gained an angel

As far back as I could remember, my dad would always try and put a smile on my face. He would light up any room that he went in; he was always the life of the party. He was so outgoing and friendly to anyone. He was so honest with me about anything he was going through.

From what he told me, he used to take me to the race runs when I was just a baby and put me in the back of the car and race. I guess that's where my love for going fast in cars stems from now!!

When I was about 8-9 years old, we were driving on the freeway, and he was going about 70 mph. He showed me, and then I pointed at the 120 mph and looked away. The next thing I knew, he was pointing towards his dashboard, and we were going 120 mph. I was so excited and happy that we were going soooo fast.

My dad always had big dreams.

My dad fell into very hard drugs ever since I could remember. I guess I had always prepared myself for this day since I was young. But now that it’s here, I’m still in denial, calling his phone, texting him, seeing if he would respond still… like this is all a big dream.

My dad was my everything. I loved him so much. I hope he knew to the end that I would bring the moon and stars down for him to still be here.

I love you, Dad. You’ll always be remembered, and I’m going to live my life through you and make you so proud.

Im setting the service date to a random date, that’s TBA
