Hi, this is Lauren - the person behind @WalterBestBoy and Bonky's mom. I started fostering Bonkers in September of last year, and fell in love with the "saddest boy in the shelter" so much that I ended up adopting him. I never thought our time together would be cut so short by such a senseless and tragic event. But on January 24, 2026, Bonkers suffered a seizure that would ultimately end his life. I rushed him to the emergency vet as fast as I could, but I was too late. He died in the car on the way there.

I'm still processing what happened, and I'm never going to stop feeling like I could have done more to save him. But even though it breaks my heart, all that's left for me to do is arrange his cremation. He was so loved and had such a huge impact for such a little guy, and I want to give him the resting place that he deserves. I would be forever grateful for your help with this final expense for my sweet Bonkers. Thank you so much.
