On May 27th, 2026, at 5:21 a.m., Ashley and Efra got to meet their beautiful baby girl, Julieta. Tragically, she was born sleeping at just 21 weeks and 3 days — only 4 days away from viability — after an umbilical cord prolapse caused the cord to become compressed.

For more than 7 weeks, Ashley fought tirelessly to give Julieta every possible chance at life. Despite being placed on almost complete bed rest and facing countless complications, she remained hopeful and continued doing everything she could for her daughter. Early on, doctors discussed termination due to the severity of the complications and the poor prognosis, but Ashley chose to continue fighting for Julieta. Day after day, Julieta continued to grow and showed everyone just how strong and resilient she truly was.

During this time, Ashley was unable to work her normal hours because of strict medical restrictions, ongoing complications, and frequent hospital care. As Ashley and Efra try to process this unimaginable loss and navigate life after losing their precious daughter, we are hoping to help ease the financial burden and give Julieta the beautiful funeral and memorial she deserves.
