As a longtime friend of Wendy Roblero, I'm reaching out asking for help with the final expenses of her 27-year-old son, Alex, who tragically passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Grand Strand Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

This precious life cut off so unexpectedly has, of course, left his family and friends in shock and sorrow, and also unexpected expenses for his final farewell.

If you feel moved to help this family, please do. As the mother of an adult son, I can't stop thinking of the old saying, "there but for the grace of God, go I."

Alex was born on December 16, 1998, at Conway Medical Center to Walfre and Wendy Prince Roblero. He graduated in the 2017 class at Loris High School, where he was a member of the soccer team he helped get to the state championship. He continued competitively playing soccer into adulthood. After high school, he joined his dad working in swimming pool construction, repair, and remodeling.

Alex was charismatic with a dynamic personality. Although reserved, he was friendly and accepting. Everyone who met him loved him. He was the best friend of many and always spoke up for people who were bullied or treated unfairly. Alex was guided by compassion to help those in need. He had a love of animals that led him to care for local feral cats that were abandoned nearby. His calm energy was infectious, and he was known for his charming half smirk.
