Dancing My Way Back to Health which was recently filmed at MSK by Flaca´s friend Jessica.
Last year my sister Jenny (a.k.a. Flaca) and I received wonderful news...after facing a stage IV ovarian cancer diagnosis and going through a challenging treatment, she was told she was cancer free! Unfortunately, a recent check-up revealed that the treatment that had vanquished one cancer had opened the door to another one. She has developed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, ALL.
A little about my sister for those who are not familiar with her; Jenny is a jovial happy-go-lucky creature. Anyone who has spent even a short time in her company has seen the beautiful bright light that shines in her. She is accepting and loving of everyone, always dwells on the positive side of things, and looks for and finds the best in people. Her interests and passions lie in many directions - art, design, architecture, cinema, world issues - wherever her thirst for adventure and knowledge takes her. But she is happiest when she is dancing, in the moment, with music, in motion as can be seen in the above video.
Jenny's first battle with cancer was at times terrifying and filled with uncertainty and financial challenges, yet it was also invigorating and a time of introspection and growth. She came through it all with an undiminished optimism about the future. She never asked, "Why me?". She just asked, "What's next?"
Well, what's next has just begun... Jenny is already into the first couple of months of phase one of her treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and the outlook is good. The entire process includes several phases and will last approximately two years. Because of the physical demands of the treatment; frequent doctor’s visits, testing, and periodic hospitalizations etc., she will mostly be unable to work. She is going to need the vital support of her family, friends, and community to get through this stage of recovery.

We created this Go Fund Me page to help Jenny pay for her living expenses in New York City during her treatment which include rent, utilities, food, as well as integrative medicine and alternative therapies. She will need approximately $35,000 to assist her get through this, so we are asking anyone who can, to please contribute.
Your support, in any amount, is greatly appreciated and your prayers welcomed if funding is not an option. I know Jenny will be extremely grateful for your kindness, love and graciousness either way. She is strong and determined to be cured from this cancer. With your support and prayers she will be invincible.

Thank you for being a part of her support team!
