My name is Charita, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart following the tragic loss of my only son, Chris Fitzgerald II. Chris was a devoted son, brother, father, uncle, and cousin…a man truly loved by everyone who knew him.

His greatest joy in life was being a father to his four children. Recently, two of his daughters began playing basketball; Chris was there courtside for every single game, cheering them on and coaching them with pride. Watching him grow into such a dedicated father was my proudest moment as a mother.

On January 27th, our lives changed forever when Chris’s life was taken by someone he considered a friend. His death is yet another senseless loss of a young Black King. Because Chris was in between jobs and I have been laid off since May 2024, we are struggling to find the financial means to provide him with the "Celebration of Life" he deserves.

We are seeking $10,083.50 to cover funeral and burial services. We have raised 9,677.66, including cash and Cash app donations.
