Help me turn grief into greatness!
After losing my husband to a tragedy that made national headlines, I didn’t think I'd ever feel true happiness again, let alone write a romantic comedy. But grief has a way of rewriting our stories.
How to Woo a Widow is the film I never thought I'd be strong enough to write. It follows two widowed sisters and one rabble-rousing old friend who secretly mentors the awkward men trying to win them over.
It’s hilarious. It’s heartfelt. And it’s rooted in truth.
This isn’t just a movie. It’s a mission - a love letter to anyone who is grieving.
Grief doesn't care who you vote for, who you love, what you look like or how much money you make. It is universal - just like love and laughter.
This film meets people in their sorrow, then walks them toward hope. It proves you can carry love, loss, and humor in the same heart.
I'm asking for your help with finding critical aspects of pre and post production, both getting this off the ground and encouraging sponsors and investors to jump in. This fund will cover creating a professional pitch deck, film budget, marketing, promotions and whatever else I can squeeze out of it to get this done.
I plan to invite widows and widowers from around the country to be a part of this film. I'll also invite others who are grieving someone they love, as well as people who inspire and impact grieving hearts. This is more than a film. It's a movement. A memory in the making.

Thank you:)
The links below achieve two purposes: They fill you in on my story, revealing WHY I feel the topic so deeply, while offering a glimpse at the story in this film.
The first link includes the book trailer I made myself, years ago. It is the book this film is based off of. And it demonstrates why professional help is needed to properly pitch, package and produce this film. Those are clearly not my gifts ;) The real trailer will be banging :)
