Supporting Miranda, Bert & Baby Bert
Hi friends — I wanted to share an update about what’s going on with me and Bert, and ask for a little help as we go through a really tough time.
Due to some unexpected complications, I’m now staying at Mission Hospital in Asheville until Baby Bert is born — which could be up to six weeks from now. The doctors are planning to induce labor at 34 weeks, and it’s likely Baby Bert will need around a month in the NICU after birth. We’re all just hoping he doesn’t decide to come any earlier. Thankfully, both Baby and I are stable and healthy right now.
This has been a huge curveball. I’m away from home, my pets, my business, and the comfort of family and friends. This extended hospital stay — followed by several weeks in the NICU — means a major loss of income and a lot of extra expenses. It’s scary and overwhelming, to say the least.
Bert and I have started a fund to help us with:
Gas money for traveling back and forth
Meals (because hospital food gets old fast)
Basic expenses during this long and stressful time
If you’re able to contribute, or even just share this, it would mean the world to us. Your love and support remind us we’re not alone in this.
Thank you so much for your kindness. Please keep me, Bert, and Baby Bert in your thoughts — we’ve got a long journey ahead, but we’re feeling the love every step of the way.
