A Long Road of Healing Fund for McKayla

Donation protected
Around 9 am Thursday, a driver who fell asleep at the wheel of an XL F-350 truck caused a tragic accident that will have a significant impact on the lives of some of our dearest loved ones. My sister (Alicia), daughter (McKayla), and her two babies (GracieLynn) & (Kunu) were driving from taking our dad to a doctor's appointment. On the way home, just before the turnoff to their road home, three cars passed the driver at fault just before he started veering into their opposing lane. They tried avoiding him by pulling over, and when they did, he hit them - it was a head-on collision. This accident caused the truck they were driving to roll over completely, and we are thankful they are still alive today! This accident was entirely out of their control and so unfortunate.

This incident caused Alicia to have rib fractures, a midback fracture, broken arms (both), and left knee/leg fractures. McKayla now has a left femur fracture, broken ribs (both), fractured ankle, fractured shoulder, and knee wound. My sister and daughter both have multiple injuries and need more surgeries to heal correctly. McKayla's oldest baby GracieLynn got a broken collar bone as a result of the incident. Kunu is doing good with only bruises. They’re now home from the hospital and staying with their dad Anthony Kemble Sr. Overall our grand-babies are safe, sound, and healthy at the moment - praise be to God!

As a result, we decided to set up a GoFund me so others can show their support/love for them during this tough time. It's such an unexpected event, and money should be the least of their worries at this time while they try to recoup and get back to life. Our family held an NAC service for them on Friday night. My brother Jeff ran the meeting, and others came together to help & pray for my sister, daughter, & grand-babies. Due to COVID-19, my brother Russell is the only one who can go to visit them at the hospital. We ask that you also keep our dad in your prayers during this worrisome time. Thanks for your contributions and continued prayers for their health! We'll keep everyone updated as we pray for their healthy healing.

We ask for your prayers and assistance in supporting this God trusting family as they attempt to physically and emotionally recover from this unimaginable tragedy.

Many know they are a loving family that is incredibly involved in the Native American Church, putting God first before all else in their lives. Alicia is a devoted mother and grandmother who home schools the babies and is also in school to receive a Bachelor's in Business Administration.  McKayla is a loving mother of two - a three and one-year-old. Thankful to God, the grand-babies weren't severely hurt by this careless driver. Despite this unexpected tragedy, both Alicia and McKayla are strong in faith & resilience.
