On March 15th of this year. Pastor Steve Mauldin of the Clover Valley Community Church was driving home not long after noon, when a vehicle travelling the opposite direction suddenly swerved into his lane striking his vehicle nearly head on. The resulting accident took the life of the elderly driver and severely injured Pastor Steve and the passenger that was with the elderly man.
Last week, the passenger of the car that caused the accident succumbed to his injuries. By the Grace of God, Pastor Steve is slowly recovering. He came out of the accident with a fractured leg, facial injuries, and sever injuries to his pelvis that required multiple surgeries.
A previous hip replacement caused additional damage to Pastor Steve's pelvis. The impact of the accident forced the artificial joint up and into the pelvis. Surgeons rebuilt the pelvis and hip socket, replacing the previous artificial joint. Numerous rods, pins, screws, and even a paste from human cadaver bone was used in the repair. Thank God for modern medicine and people who are organ donors.
We certainly know that God was and is with Pastor Steve. The outpouring of love not only for Pastor Steve but for the families who lost their loved ones in this accident is absolutely amazing.
The primary reason we have started this campaign is to help Pastor Steve and his family as he works through his difficult recovery. We are raising funds and taking Love Offerings to help cover the additional expenses Pastor Steve's family is facing as a result of this life changing accident.
As a member of Clover Valley Community Church, I can tell you that few people in our community work as hard as Pastor Steve to improve lives physically and spiritually through out our community His helping reach extends well beyond the body of our church.
Please consider joining us, the members of his flock, in helping Pastor Steve through this difficult recovery. God is amazing. His Grace and Love shines brightest during tragic and difficult times.
