A little something for our dear Wilma

Dear Friends,
I am reaching out to you on behalf of my best friend, who has been courageously fighting Breast cancer since 2015. The first bout started 6 years ago and the news of having Breast CA devastated our family on many levels. For one, her CA type is aggressive, difficult to treat and recurrence is almost guaranteed. It was a tough diagnosis and during that time, her 7-year old daughter, Schuyler struggled in school, the husband became the sole provider and caregiver, and my bestfriend was forced to fight the biggest fight of her life.
People who know them best, know that they are a very private person and would prefer to have kept this matter confidential, however my beloved bestfriend's condition has turned for the worse and with the current Pandemic, it has become even more difficult to access the care and medical supplies both financially and logistically. She is currently at Calamba Doctors hospital, unfortunately, on her own, in the hospital’s efforts to control the current virus that has been threatening and taking many lives. The husband is only allowed brief encounters but mostly communicating with her care team and my bestfriend via the phone.
We are currently struggling in many ways and had been fighting with her earnestly since 2015, which is why we had been stretched out financially, spiritually and emotionally in this journey. Our faith, however, is what keeps us going and with that I humbly implore your help and support. Any amount of financial assistance will be greatly appreciated and would go a long way. Please share Wilma’s story, in hopes that help may be extended as far as it can reach. Words of support, encouragement and most especially, prayers would be most valuable at this time. It must be a great struggle to stay positive, faithful and hopeful being by herself in the hospital. I kindly ask that you send her messages of love and support through me. Please cheer her on, keep her fighting, for herself, for our family and for the people who love and cherish her so much.
On behalf of Wilma, Spencer and Schuyler and the rest of our family, we send our utmost gratitude and love.
With utmost humility,

P.S.
Very few people know what Wilma had gone through in the past 6 years. It was Wilma’s wishes to keep her fight as private as possible so some of our friends are probably surprised by how long and difficult her fight had been going. It is with optimistic vulnerability that we share the timeline of her courageous battle with breast cancer.

2017 detected mass on left neck - oral chemo
