A little something for Hope!
Donation protected
At just 25 years old, our dear friend, Hope McCartney, was sadly diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at the end of last year. As you can imagine this was an awful shock for her and her family and to hear the "you have cancer" words filled them all with fear.
The treatment plan was 6 months of intensive chemotherapy which takes a terrible toll on the body but, thankfully, gave a good prognosis of 80% chance of full recovery. Hope started her treatment in January and even though she was very sick at times and extremely tired, the support of her family, partner and friends carried her through. She has battled this illness with such grace, never complaining, even when the chemo made her very physically unwell, Hope has maintained a positive attitude throughout (always living up to her name!).
As she had been very sick in the 2 years before diagnosis and has just had over 6 months of chemo we feel that Hope has missed out on so many fun times when a girl her age should have been out enjoying herself. So, we have set up this GoFundMe in the hope to raise some funds to give to her so she can treat herself and make up for the lost time. Be it a new wig, a lil spa day, a trip away or even just the security to have some money back in her bank account after being unable to work during her treatment - any donation is *very* much appreciated.
