My husband and I live on Social Security. That's it. It has not come. Don't know when, or if it will. (The Musk Rats may think we're dead.)

Plus, I live in Houston where the temperature can get to 88 degrees in March. We just had the air conditioner replaced because it died and was 20 years old, so not fixable.

We were lucky. We were owed $3,000 from an insurance company for property damage we sustained. So I've postponed those repairs and put that towards the new AC. Used up most of our savings on the AC.

However, I put $5,000 of that expense on a credit card which promises me no interest on that money for a year. At the moment, though, I have no way of paying the credit card bill because... no Social Security has come.

I'm sure many others are in similar fixes. But I would appreciate your help.

If I get over the amount, depending on how long it takes to get my Social Security back, I'd like to fix the structural damage to my home, as well.
