A little love for "Jonesy" - Colin Jones

Hey friends and family!

I have started this goFundMe for our great friend Colin Jones. As some of you may know, Colin has been battling a very rare type of Bone Cancer (Multiple myeloma) since last summer.

Colin is a great friend, a devoted dad to his son Jackson (10) and a long-time Whisterlite. After moving here some 20+ years ago from Brantford Ontario, you might know Colin's smiling face from the door at the GLC for close to a decade or the front doors of a late night at Brandy's by the Keg. During the day Colin has been on many construction sites, you might know him from banging nails together to having him spray foam for a project.

As anyone who has dealt with Cancer in the Sea to Sky, you may know that chemotherapy does a number on one's body - this has rendered Colin unable to work and has inhibited the time he can spend with friends and more importantly the time that he can spend with his son. With Multiple Myeloma Colin will never be Cancer free- with modern medicine, it can be treated, and if all goes well, it can be controlled. Currently, Colin will undergo a form of treatment where his stem cells will be taken from his blood, cleaned and radiated in hopes that his immune system will work again. These treatments are timely, and invasive and bring his immune system to a place where he can't do much while he heals. We are asking for any contributions to help Colin with his day-to-day living like rent, food and transportation to and from treatments.
