Hi friends. Let me introduce you to a dear friend of mine... Let's call her "Lattie" for privacy. Lattie is a single mom of two young boys. Lattie is an extremely hard worker and holding down several jobs. Lattie always shows up to work early, she stays late, she never misses a day... Even when chronic health conditions have her feeling terrible. Lattie has a HUGE heart and would do anything for her family and friends. Lattie has supported me time and time again when I doubted my steps.

This beautiful friend of mine is also a domestic abuse survivor. She had her arm shattered by a man during a dispute, resulting in reconstruction of her arm. Despite all of her hardships, she has remained positive, strong, and thoughtful. She continued to show grace and support to those in need, which unfortunately resulted in a situation where her kindness was exploited.

Lattie co-signed on a car loan to help a friend gain reliable transportation. Unfortunately, this friend disappeared with the car and Lattie is now responsible for the car payments. Even though the car is not hers (she never even used it), she is struggling to make the monthly payment in an effort to prevent court dates and wage garnishment. She did not tell me about this situation, I overheard her talking to another friend. She has no time for her boys or herself, she just works as much as she can saying, "I guess it's a learning situation."

Sometimes this world is just too heavy. Sometimes I feel like I can't make a dent in the negativity spewed by this life. But right now I feel like I can make a difference for one person.
