A little IVF help…
Donation protected
As many of you know Bex and I are currently going through IVF.
Due to a high risk of Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome we are unable to have a fresh transfer and have to move to frozen embryo transfer.
This is an unexpected extra cost of nearing £2000 including new meds. Possibly more. We can’t stop at this point having come so far to build our family.
Further to this on our Egg Collection day - a call came from the embryologist that the sperm we had bought from the sperm bank was not as good a quality as hoped and they had to move to ICSI - which is injecting the sperm direct into the egg - rather than just mixing it up. This is another £1000.
So we are currently looking at least another £3000 on top of what we have already paid.
A few of you have said you’d love to chip in to get us over this final hurdle, so hopefully this go fund me makes it easier to do that!
We have had to go private to create our family (at significant cost) as we would not qualify on the NHS. As you may or may not know the NHS as a whole has not yet caught up with the science behind fertility and funded IVF is still not available to all LGBTQIA families.
We will hopefully be able to pay you back in lots of cute baby cuddles.
Thanks for reading - we love you all very much xxx
