A Heartbreaking Appeal from Gaza: Help Us Survive
My name is Muhammad, and I come from Gaza—a place where hope is often a distant dream. I live in Al-Maghazi camp, a place that has been my home for years. But it hasn’t always been this way. I’ve been displaced more than four times, each time forced to leave behind everything I’ve built, everything I’ve known. The constant fear of losing everything has been my reality for so long, and I’ve seen it break the hearts of so many around me.
Right now, I live with my wife, our child, and my young son. We hold onto each other through the darkest days. There are moments when all we have is the love we share, but even that feels fragile when the world outside is so harsh. Despite the ongoing struggle, I try to help those around me, those in my community who are also suffering. But my own family is fighting a battle for survival, and I don’t know how long we can hold on without help.
The pain we face is not just physical—it's the emotional toll of seeing our children grow up in a world filled with violence, destruction, and fear. Every day, I fear for their safety, their future. And yet, even as we struggle, I can't help but help others. In my neighbourhood, we are all we have.
But we can't do this alone anymore. Our situation is dire. The devastation caused by the ongoing conflict has left us with nothing but the barest of essentials, and we are running out of time. My family needs your support, and the people I help need it to. I’m reaching out to you with a heart full of hope despite all that we’ve been through.
I am in pain—deep, unimaginable pain. And every time I see my family, I feel helpless. The weight of knowing that they are depending on me to keep them safe is crushing. But with your help, we can survive this. With your compassion, we can rebuild, and we can start again.
Please, don’t let our suffering go unnoticed. Your donation could mean the difference between life and death for my family and countless others. We are depending on you. Please help us.
I help people and help families with some aid, food and drink
I do what I can to do something for them despite the destruction, killing, and displacement that is happening
A little hope to survive
Thank you guys, thank you for your humanity
