Hi everyone,

This isn’t easy for me to write. Our family has always tried to handle life’s challenges on our own, but lately we’ve been hit with more than we could have ever prepared for.

I’ve been struggling with an autoimmune flare-up that has taken a serious toll on my health. It’s affected my ability to work, and I’ve had to go on short-term disability while trying to manage my symptoms and focus on recovery. It’s been both physically and emotionally exhausting, but I’ve been doing my best to stay strong for our family.

More recently, within the last month my husband, Sydd, had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a life-threatening condition that has forced him to take time off work as well as spending some time at the hospital. We are so grateful that he’s here and getting the care he needs, but his recovery requires rest, focus, and freedom from as much stress as possible especially financial stress.

We are not the type of family to ever ask for help. We’ve always done our best to push through and take care of things quietly. But between my health setbacks, my temporary decrease of income, and now Sydd’s medical emergency and time off work, the financial strain has become overwhelming.

We’re simply asking for a little assistance to help us get by and to cover essential bills, groceries, and medical costs so that Sydd can focus on healing and I can continue to recover without the added pressure of financial worry.
