Hi, my name is Alyssa. Some of you may know me, and some of you may not. I’ve lived in Vicksburg my entire life, and I’m a 23 year old single mother to two beautiful children, ages 5 and 2.

Asking for help does not come easy to me, but I’m at a point where I’m willing to step outside of my comfort zone and try. In September, I lost my vehicle after falling behind on payments during a difficult period with my mental health. Since then, getting around has been a daily struggle. I don’t have much of a support system, and while I’m incredibly grateful to those who help when they can, relying on rides isn’t always possible especially with a full-time job and my children attending different schools.

Having reliable transportation is essential for us. Without a car, it’s difficult to maintain steady work, and without work, it’s impossible to keep a stable home for my children. My goal is simply to raise enough to purchase a small, reliable cash car so I can get my kids and myself where we need to be, safely and consistently.

This is extremely hard for me to share, but I’m hopeful this reaches someone who understands our situation and is willing to help, whether by donating or sharing. Every bit means more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read and for any support you’re able to give.
